Whether you're deep into your studies or approaching your final exams, combining your studies with insights into the telecom industry can be an exciting challenge. We have lots of exciting things going on.
We are undertaking the biggest network modernisation in Telenor's history, sharpening our customer experience and creating revolutionary technical solutions, supported by 5G. This means that super-fast drones can be used to deliver vital medicine, but also that we can keep calling anyone we care about, or spend an evening scrolling on the sofa.
Study + telecom insights = check

"I started as a trainee and today I lead a mobile products team"
Nearly ten years ago I started my journey as a trainee at Telenor. Since then I've had several roles ranging from analysis of customer behaviour, to setting the company's strategic direction and developing our brand. Today I head a team that works on our mobile products, ensuring that we sell the hardware our customers require, that our subscriptions run smoothly, and that we offer competitive products.
Internet and communication, which we generally take for granted today, are a vital aspect of how we develop our relations, disseminate knowledge and develop as people. The difference that I and my colleagues make every day is not only very worthwhile, but also makes my job really enjoyable.
Jonathan, Head of mobile
”My perspective is rated highly and I'm encouraged to challenge established principles"
Society's digital transformation is currently putting IT high on the agenda for every company. We want to be at the forefront of this development, and every day we're shaping the telecom industry of the future with exciting innovation and technology.
What makes Telenor so special is that I'm constantly challenged to investiate different aspects of the company, even when they're not part of my normal role. My perspective is rated highly and I'm encouraged to challange established principles. Working for a company that takes this approach means that I can develop just as much as I want, as long as I stay committed.
Lutho, IT trainee
”I've been able to build a strong network and a firm foundation for my ongoing career”
I applied for Telenor's trainee programme to explore and get a deep understanding of different parts of the company. I've been able to build a strong network and worked with colleagues from every part of Telenor, giving me a firm foundation for my ongoing career.
The telecom industry is dynamic and is changing rapidly, which means that there are always new innovations to explore. I'll never stop learning more in this industry, where I'm helping to empower tomorrow's connected society.
Hannes, Finance trainee
”Working on interesting projects with skilled colleagues gave a steep learning curve”
During my trainee year I got to know different parts of Telenor, so that today I understand how everything is related – from running our network to how we work from first idea to launch in the market. Combined with working on interesting projects with skilled colleagues, this gave a steep learning curve.
Today I work with our brand, ensuring that it activates a consistent customer experience. This is first of all about building confidence – that our customers know they can trust us, that our products meet customers' needs, and they know we're there for them.
Julia, Brand activation manager
